Some of you with very keen hearing may well notice the hand (and other organs no doubt) of Bob Crewe here on this track from Lotti Goldens 'Motor-Cycle' album. What with the jazz inflections and 'soul vocal' it's a bitty affair that keeps me coming back for repeated listenings...just as she gets going it seems to drop into a 'jazzy phrase' or two...a lot like Lucifer indeed!
Well Bill Plummer was a jazz bassist who featured on around 62 album's, numerous TV show and soundtrack's but this is definately his psych-out trip. Quite like how he keeps it together with nice short hair and sensible suit whilst enjoying the cosmic brotherhood. Superb.
Now Sun Ra could well have appeared in the original Batman tv series, taking the show onto another (ahem) level..these two tracks are not from the famous Sun Ra and The Blues Project album(coming up shortly!) but can be found on singles. The first track features vocal by Chicago bluesman, Lacy Gibson while the second version features Sun ra himself...i think...
