Here is Porter Wagoner showing us his National Wild Turkey Federation(at least that's what I think it says) belt buckle. No wonder they threw him in the 'Rubber Room',thee ol' coot!. A great track of mental breakdown. And with this version being taken from the infamous Wavy Gravy comp we get a snippet of 'Vault of Horror; which fits the bill perfectly. Great tag line in 'We have all the things that make life worth...leaving'

The Disco Clap-Mad Disco Special
Perhaps the 'maddest' track from the 'MAD Disco Special' flexi disc is 'The Disco Clap'...the other tracks are parodies of disco standards with titiles such as 'Barely Alive' and they are fine, but this one goes off into it's own with the lyrics. There's a lot in there and of course you could have fun coming up with your own variations as to what you could actually 'clap'...added to this is the implication of actually 'catching and spreading' the disco clap...(obviously he frequents the same disco's as I)...and I'm sure he says you can 'clap' your 'Family jewels and clap your partners tool' at one point too...hmmm...Friday, 20 March 2009
Mad Monster Party-Ethel Ennis
Mad Monster Party by Ethel Ennis from the superb Rankin/Bass animated film of the same name, see trailer above(sick-a-dilic?).The soundtrack to the film is mostly instrumental but here we get a great Bond-type track that sets the scene perfectly!
The film also features the inimitable Phyllis Diller...whether or not we'll ever 'be ready for that', well, only time will tell!
