A Day In The Life-Big Daddy

A slight diversion here. Seeing as everyone and their mother are jumping on the Beatles bandwagon to promote the remastered albums, I thought I'd go along with it and post some of my favourite Beatles covers...and who know's, maybe 'they'll' send me the mono and stereo box set along with a copy of Beatles rockband game and other merchandise...

So first up we've got one of my very favourites, Big Daddy (no not that one) with his clever cover of perhaps the greatest Beatles song? 'A Day In The Life'. See what he's done here is transpose the lyrics onto a Buddy Holly/50's style track that works really well. Turn it up at the end for an alternate final chord...

King Of Fuh-Brute Force

The undoubted genius that is Brute Force is perhaps best known for this gem released on The Beatles Apple label in 1969 (yes, really!). It tells the tale of the mighty 'Fuh King', his kingdom and his mighty doings...
Mr Force is still active and performing in NYC and elsewhere, so if you get the chance, go check him out!

In my Life-Keith Moon

...and here we find Ringo's old pal Keith Moon with a suprisingly touching version of The Beatles 'In My Life' from his solo album...'Two Sides of the Moon'...shame Mr Moon isn't around now to entertain both us and himself.
